That's another type of bag. First I made the crochet part (I used a bit less than one yarn) and then I found two sticks that I incorporated in it. They were two small branches that I collected from the park. I just 'cleande' the outside part with a knife for woodcarving and then they were ready to be used!
This is a bag made out of zpagetti yarn. I also used my old pyjamas (grey part) that I cut in lines following these instructions.
A crocheted basket for fruits made out of hoooked zpagetti yarn. It's a thick yarn made out of clothe's pieces. For this basket I followed this video's instructions and I improvised a little bit. I used a 10mm needle but I cannot really think about how much yarn I needed. You can get some inspirational ideas and see how the yarn looks like here.
I was so EXCITED with the opportunities of making things with crochet, that I couldn't stop making new things. Here comes a site with free patterns. I used some of them and here comes the result. Some of what I'll present you come from patterns of this site but others are just combinations of patterns I made myself. More things are on their way...

The following stars are another result of my enthousiasm of following instructions and creating things (you can look at my previous post). They can be used as a base for hot staff in the kitchen. At least this is the way I decided to use them. In the leaflet they are combined inanother way and the result is very different.
I used again 5mm needle. One yarn gave me four stars and the pot-holder (look at the previous post again). Just to inform you, the yarn costs around 10 euro (85 kronor). That's a good deal, I think.

As a part of our trip, we live in Sweden for two years now. As a part of looking for a job here, I got a place for practicing swedish language in a elementary school. I started working there as a special needs education teacher. After some conversations with my mentor in the school, she realised how interested I am in handicrafts and she suggested that I should attend the textiles handicraft program that is offered in the school.
It was a very interesting experience for me! Until that time I new the basics in crochet. I new how to start, how to increase and how to decrease the size of my creation, but I couldn't understand the names of the stiches or the instructions in books. The handicraft's teacher showed me how to do it and here comes my first creation after following instructions! Even if I don't know how to ask for basic things in swedish, I can follow crochet instructions!
So I bought a small leaflet with instructions. You can have a look here. I also bought the orange/multi yarn. I used a 5mm needle. The yarn is hard and thi makes it really appropriate for decorational things.
Just follow the instructions and here you are!

It was our friends name day and I couldn't really decide on what a gift could be for them. This little girl, Roza, is my daughter's best friend, bästis in swedish! I had the plan of making two dolls for the girls to remember and to play with each other, even when they are not together. Then I changed my plan and I finally made all the members of the family as a present for its young and older members.
It's very interesting to see how kids develop their abilities and the abstract way of thinking through the use of dolls. I hope Roza will enjoy playing with her family...
